Since our very first team at the Club started in 2009, it has always been our ambition to provide football in the community for as many children as possible.
Our teams range from under 7s to 18s for both boys and girls but we’re now starting earlier.
Many children begin to kick a football around as soon as they start walking therefore, from September 2022 we will be commencing our Bumble Bees Early Years Sessions.
The sessions are for Year R and Year 1 children who are too young to join a team but just want to play football.
By joining up, it’ll be a great pathway into our Club and straight in at Under 7 when they hit the ripe old age of 6!!
All sessions are run by our fantastic Grassroots Associate Partner Chelsea FC Limited so, not only are they starting early but with coaches of great experience and knowledge.

This team formed in the season of 2021-2022 as U7’s Gold for the boys first time playing football, it was a challenging year to keep their focus at such an early age but they started bonding as the year progressed.
This year Nathan Parker has stepped up and volunteered to Coach/Manage the Braishfield Bees U8’s Gold team. Already Nathan has managed to re-register all the current years players which has put them in a stable position for the team to build on what they had achieved last year. Nathan is hoping to see some real progress with the team as they enter the 2022-2023 Season whilst the boys continue to enjoy playing their football in safe and fun environment.

The U10 Black side are new to the club this year and we’re looking forward to building up our team and taking on the new challenge together.
In the short time we’ve been practicing and playing, it’s obvious that this is a great bunch of boys and girls (and parents!) with a lot of energy and enthusiasm for the game – I think we’re going to have a lot of fun!

A group of hardworking boys and girls who enjoy playing football. They are always ready to learn new skills and apply them in the next match! They got off to a good start in the new season by making it to the knockout stages of the Bees tournament and getting a draw in the first match.
The team are enjoying the transition to 11 a side and bigger goals. And with additional new players in the starting lineup, the U13s are looking for a strong finish this season.

We, the Braishfield Bees Under 12s are an inclusive and talented group, whose ethos is to ‘win with modesty and lose with dignity.’ Thankfully, since the team’s formation as Under 8’s we have managed to be rather more modest than dignified!
We pride ourselves on being a family friendly side, but this has not been at the detriment of any success. We are a highly competitive team in the top tier of the Testway Youth League, are current holders of the the presigious Jock McClorey Cup and were 2019/20 finalists of the Testway Oak Cup.
Real success for coaches Dave and Rich is more than just winning games of football. Our motivation is to improve a child’s performance, harness potential and grow their love of the game in a fun and relaxed environment. Developing the right values and behaviours is as important to us as the football we play. Having completed the FA’s Level 2 Coaching badge, we champion its ‘Four Corner’ approach to development. We are dedicated to improve the technical, physical, pyschological and social aspects of all our players. In partnership with Chelsea Football Club, Braishfield are very fortunate to have access to Chelsea coaches to further our learning and development.
We look forward to taking our campaign global in the coming season(s) with the opportunity to compete in Gothenburg for the Gothia World Cup. This is a tournament which the club has made a commitment to throughout the years, and it’s our turn to try and bring back some silverware!
There may be opportunity in the summer for a couple new faces to join our ranks. If interested, we play our games on a Saturday morning and train on a Wednesday evening at The Mountbatten School, Romsey. We very much look forward to meeting you!

The team is coached by Steve & Martin who have a strong belief in the FA 4 corner coaching model and very much see their role as developing ALL players (Technically, Physically, Psychologically & Socially). Whilst many of our current players have been with us since the team started at under 8’s, we have been very successful in integrating new players into the team each season, as playing numbers / squad sizes have increased. Our players come from a variety of backgrounds and schools (both in and outside of Romsey), with some players having no contact with each other outside of team activities. Over half the team play rugby on a Sunday and it is perhaps not surprising that as a team of coaches, players and parents we have very high standards in terms of behaviour and respect for officials.
We are currently looking for a dedicated Goalkeeper who has a good standard of fitness and is comfortable with playing out from the back or has a strong desire to learn this skill. We would be particularly keen to hear from any players who or are looking to get back to playing football or are currently playing for a team and looking for a new challenge. We would consider Goalkeepers who play on a Sunday and are looking to play on a Saturday as well, provided they are able to train with us on a Wednesday.

The U16s team are a tight knit group who enjoy their football. Some players have been together for eight years and others have only recently joined the team. The team is represented with players from more than four schools in the area and their camaraderie is a testament to how well they enjoy each other’s company and their football. We have also have a great bunch of parents that invest a lot of their own time to support the players, coach, manager and officials on a regular basis and we are very grateful for this.
Our team ethos is based on working hard in training and in matches to achieve personal and team success by enjoying and learning about football. As a coaching management team, we support and include all players and we invest a lot of time in our players based on the four aspects of the FA Four Corner model: technical/tactical, psychological, physical and social. Wednesday eveningtraining is always fun but requires dedicated time and effort to be ready for Saturday’s matches. As an Associated Grassroots Partner of Chelsea Football Club, the players have had the opportunity to be trained regularly by Chelsea coaches and their experience helps the boys develop week on week.
We finished the 2021/22 season mid table after a varied success in the Testway Youth Football League division 2 and will work hard for greater consistency this season to reach our full potential. We are looking forward to the more competitive older age group youth football: we will foster the boy’s independence and give the players the lead to work towards taking their footballing ambitions where they want them to go!

The core of this decorated Bees team has been together now 9 seasons since Under 8, playing through thick and thin, mud and sleet and occasionally on a flat pitch…
The team, and previous managers Nick Tubb and Neil Payne before me, have enjoyed many successes – all built on a rock solid defensive foundation, amazing individual stalwarts and a great collective work ethic come matchday. In our formative years we were fortunate enough to have picked up various mini-soccer awards and trophies up and down the Test Way Youth league and in summer club tournaments (including our own!), and we’ve continued that at youth level with multiple division 1 league titles, including back-to-back titles in 2017/8 and 2018/9 and a league and cup double in 2018/9.
We had an amazing trip to the Gothia Cup in Sweden in summer 2017 (and almost won a game!) and will try and get another summer tour organised before the players each start driving and paying their own taxes. We always look to play fast passing team football, and for the 2020/1 season will be hammering the training sessions, scoring more goals, trying a deeper Hampshire Cup run, and above all relishing the challenge from the other great Saturday league and county teams around us.
