Braishfield Bees Youth Black U18s clinched the Testway League Cup on a glorious morning at Laverstock & Ford, Salisbury this morning.
Going into the game unbeaten in 12 league and cup games the boys settled down quickly and found their passing game early on. Will Griffiths almost converted after great play down the left from Jamie Norton. On 21 minutes Levi Mandigora picked up the ball in the middle of the pitch and played a delightful ball through to Will Griffiths who calmly slotted the ball into the bottom left hand corner.
Bees went into HT 1-0 up.
L&F came out the traps early in the 2nd half and created a number of chances. Jimmy Palfrey having an outstanding season between the sticks pulled off a world class save tipping a shot onto his bar and the ball was cleared away.
Another attack down the right from L&F and shot on target but that man Palfrey again made a great save down to his right.
With time ticking by and heart rates peaking in the dugout, the ref blew the final whistle – Bees Black had been crowned worthy Cup winners 🏆
An outstanding achievement for a great bunch of lads who fought for every ball and gave 100% from the 1st to the last minute.
Man of the Match: Will Griffiths
